This is the portable version of JOE.s Own Editord, using autoconf/automake. This version has been enhanced by several functions intended for programmers or other professional users, and has a lot of bugs fixed. It is based upon an older version of joe because these behave better overall. Basic differences between joe and jupp are: * obviously, another flavour, jupp, similar to jstar * utf-8 support on non-locale-aware OSses * bug and security fixes * tab completion fixes * code cleanup * compiles with -Wall -Werror (on MirBSD) * improved options menu * visibled spaces

Binary packages can be installed with the high-level tool pkgin (which can be installed with pkg_add) or pkg_add(1) (installed by default). The NetBSD packages collection is also designed to permit easy installation from source.
The pkg_admin audit command locates any installed package which has been mentioned in security advisories as having vulnerabilities.
Please note the vulnerabilities database might not be fully accurate, and not every bug is exploitable with every configuration.
Problem reports, updates or suggestions for this package should be reported with send-pr.
