AAlib is a portable ASCII Art library. From the AA project documentation: "There are many problems of various kinds with video cards, low frequency monitors, crashing graphical apps... AA-lib IS the solution. It works on a terminal of any kind, it is fast and portable, it gives to you standard API. It gives to your old hardware more power! "
Binary packages can be installed with the high-level tool pkgin (which can be installed with pkg_add) or pkg_add(1) (installed by default). The NetBSD packages collection is also designed to permit easy installation from source.
The pkg_admin audit command locates any installed package which has been mentioned in security advisories as having vulnerabilities.
