Upclient is a program that keeps track of your server uptime, and lets you compare it with the uptime of other (similar) hosts. It consists of two parts, a client- and a serverpart. The client runs on your server and sends the uptime every few minutes to the server. The server collects all data in a table on this site.
Binary packages can be installed with the high-level tool pkgin (which can be installed with pkg_add) or pkg_add(1) (installed by default). The NetBSD packages collection is also designed to permit easy installation from source.
The pkg_admin audit command locates any installed package which has been mentioned in security advisories as having vulnerabilities.
